Happy 3rd Anniversary!

It's June 29th again...
A date that I will never forget for the rest of my life...
The memory seems fresh in my mind...
It's like it just happened a moment ago.

This is the only date that I'll still cry every year looking at your pic...
I hope you're doing well over there.
I miss you lots... I really do.

My beloved Mimi

Prawn Fishing Again

No... I'm not addicted to prawn fishing. Yesterday I brought Fione to try it since she has never experience it before. We went to the one located in Kepong, somewhere behind Carrefour that shop lots.

This place is definitely so much better than the one I went to Puchong last week. Now I felt slightly cheated already after this new experience hehehe. Although the price is RM 15 per hour, but it definitely not cost effective to travel all the way to Puchong from Kepong just for the RM 2 difference.

Hi prawnies

The prawns are much bigger here, and most of the ones I caught are even bigger than the one in Puchong! The prawns here definitely bite more, landed my first one in just 8 min while it took me 45min to land one in Puchong. And the best part is here they provide live bait! (need to purchase this at Puchong). And oh.. we took back all the live prawns and not the frozen ones Puchong gave ;(

Didn't load Fione's pic, a bit too blur to be posted up

In the end, we caught 17 in 2 hours. And previously, Fione said boring when I asked her wanna try or not, but now she wants to go back for another round! hahaha

They got fried in chilli

Prawn Fishing

Yesterday was my first time for prawn fishing, although fishing used to be my hobby during secondary school time. Have went here and there to fish, but never once for prawn.

Over last week, I've been really eager to try my hands on them when I saw there's one shop in Kepong when having lunch the previous week. Have spoken to a few, but none of them interested though. But in the end managed to get Isabelle to accompany me... haha

We went to the shop in Taman Kinrara @ Puchong after having lunch at Old Town in the nearby area. The shop was quite plain... apart from the chairs and the big pool, there's nothing else.

Murky water... cant see anything inside

The price for 1hr is RM 13. If want to purchase earthworm, need to pay separately. We didn't... so we used the bait (which I think is chicken spare parts) to seduce the prawns. It was quite fun though, and not that easy to get one up.

The technique to fish prawn is kinda different... it's not like the conventional fishing method where there's a nibbling movement on the rod, we must pull it immediately. Prawns are a little bit more tricky. They do not consume the bait immediately on the spot where they found it. Normally they will bring it to another place to devour it.

When the line starts to move, be prepared to snap them. And which direction to snap them is important as well. Prawns will normally swim frontways unless threatened. With a proper snap, the hook will get into their mouth and up they go. Somehow there's still a long way for me to master this... I've lost a lot of prawns while trying to bring them up.

In the end, we stayed 3hrs. Only got 6 (2 out of the 6 I used hand to grab them when they are swimming near the surface hahaha) and Isabelle got none. Those buggers don't really wanna eat... guess they have been fed earlier on.

The catch after 3hrs... definitely not the place to seek for more prawns to eat

Oh well.. doesn't really matter anyway. The objective is to have fun and not the prawns... hahaha.

My biggest catch... not bad for the size

Hail Barca!

Today was the Champions League Final clash between Barcelona & Manchester United. I was expecting an entertaining performance for both teams as they have been sizzling in the Spanish La Liga & English Premier League respectively, with both sides looking to set new records.

When looking at the starting line up, I was shocked to see Man Utd using the same formation when they beat Arsenal in the semis. The first thing that appeared on my mind, Barca will win the match. Why cant they just use the normal formation & tactics? Why Ronaldo in front, Rooney at left, Park at right and ANDERSON starting?? This is a recipe for disaster. Pardon me, but it's Barcelona.

To make things more miserable, Tevez is benched. I rather he play in Anderson's role, he can play anywhere from midfield to striker and he's very hardworking.

Perhaps the final appearance for Tevez in a Man Utd shirt

Put that aside, I was hoping for more positive attributes. But that hope was dashed after two sloppy defensive errors. Both Eto'O & Messi scored the goals without much hassle. And Man Utd could not recover from the goal down to provide the attacking performance they usually do. Although after the introduction of Tevez & Berbatov, it didn't help at all.

Eto'O scored with ease after a sloppy defending

Messi was left unmarked and heads in easily

And talking bout Messi, he deserved to be crowned the best player in the world. Not that Ronaldo isn't good, but it is consistency that counts. I rate Messi at the top, followed by Steven Gerard, Frank Lampard & Frank Ribery for this season.

The golden boy with the golden boot

Well, painful as it is... but that's football. Anyway, Man Utd should feel proud although missing out on the trophy as they have made it to the final for 2 consecutive seasons. The last few seasons prior to this, the furthest they can go is semis only. Look at the bright side!

The villains

And the champions

To summarize, Man Utd has deployed the wrong tactic & formation and this definitely costs them the trophy. With some sloppy defendings and not able to recover from the goal down, this is the night not to forget but to learn from the mistakes.

The small puzzles... what will it be?

These are small pieces of a picture puzzle... it seems like our lives are made of puzzles too. We started off with a piece in our hearts 9 months before we are due, and for everyday we live we embarked on the journey thru various life cycles continuing to seek for the other pieces, eagerly anticipating what will be the magnificent picture that is yet to be discovered.

What will it look like? Big houses nestled on a mountain over a lush greenery forest, or streams of numbers kept rolling in the bank accounts? I don't know. You won't know either. Before going into the future, let's just turn to the back and see how our puzzles look like now.

Familiar faces? Sweet memories? Ahhh... I remember this! This is actually the portrait of my life, and look how it has become over the years! Ohh... how I wished if I could add more colors and glitters to make it more beautiful and exciting. But... sigh... Sigh? Because time is not going to turn back anymore.

It's front view. I see many pieces of puzzles everywhere. Some are big, different in sizes and shapes. Some just small... too small actually, along with a few broken ones and dull in color. Hmm... which one should I choose? The nicer ones are harder to reach, the normal ones are just around me. I wanted a nice, memorable, wonderful picture as I grow old.

And now I can always say how I wished because the picture is yet to be painted. But I can't stop for too long, life doesn't stop there. I need to decide which piece to be included into my puzzle, and move on in search of greater pieces...

"So hear me loneliness, I'm giving up on you. I don't need you anymore, I finally found what I've been looking for. So hear me emptiness, I've got no room for you. I've finally found what I've been dreaming of, someone to love."

And the saints go marching in... I have a lot of things that I would like to do, but time really flies. I've missed out a lot, but there's little that I can do. It's time to accelerate and chase the glory.

Oh... before I forget, this was how my puzzle look like... kekeke

Flu Season

No... i dont mean the A H1N1 flu, it's the regular flu and this time i'm the victim.

Last Thursday after having dinner at Bar B Q Plaza, sore throat struck me when i was about to go to sleep. And then comes the flu and finally cough simultaneously within hours. Perhaps i didnt drink enough water in the last two days thanks to back 2 back meetings, and i didnt bring in my water bottle.

Went to see doc on Saturday, took some medicines (F.O.C. since i use the medical card :)) and now almost fully recovered. Drink more water and eat more vitamin C...

I really hope they realise this!!

I was left pondering why this matter was only raised after such a "long" time. Sometimes I just don't understand what is on the mind of these politicians. The situation in Perak has gone bad to worse, and looks like there's no end to it.
Will this eventually make any difference?

As long as nobody is willing to give in, the saga will go on and on. After decisions and another decision have been made, there'll be somebody to turn the tables around. Aren't you sick bout it? I am. You can imagine how it will benefit the people if all these time wasted were put into efforts to improve the nation.

Seriously, what Hishammuddin said is very true and I really hope more people will realise it. The people is at the losing end. It's just a matter of time when the people start to reject both parties. Totally a waste of time and money for these unmeaningful games of the politicians. Wake up please!
